No Nonsense Newsletter Fall 1999

I followed variations of the diets that you'll see throughout this issue of the No Nonsense newsletter, adjusted to meet my particular metabolism, for most of the time. It was basically high protein, moderate fat and low carbs. However, Roger threw me for a loop when four weeks from the Heart of Illinois contest he changed my diet to include more than 50% carbohydrates.

Not only did I continue to improve, as Roger explained, this diet set me up to get even more ripped when I went back to a lower carb diet for the Mr. Michigan and Ohio Natural.



My Diet Plan for the Heart of Illinois Contest

Supplements: Multi Pak with Meal #1
The following were taken with every meal: 4 - Ultra 40, 4 - Mass, 
1 - Energy Reserve, 1 - Lean Out, 
3 - Muscularity and 1 tsp. Creatine Monohydrate

Meals
1. 6 egg whites, 2 servings Grits
2. 5 oz lean meat (chicken, fish or turkey), 8 oz potato, 1 cup vegetables
3. 5 ounces lean meat, 1 cup cooked rice, 1 cup vegetables
4. 5 ounces lean meat, 8 oz. baked potato or yam, 1 cup vegetables
5. 6 egg whites, 2 servings Cream of Rice 
Final Week before Heart of Illinois
Supplements: Multi Pak with Meal #1
The following were taken with every meal right on through the show on 
Saturday: 4 - Ultra 40, 4 - Mass, 1 - Energy Reserve, 1 - Lean Out, 
3 - Muscularity and 1 tsp. Creatine Monohydrate
Sunday - Tuesday
Meals:
1. 6 egg whites, 1 serving of grits, 
2. 5 oz lean meat (chicken, fish or turkey), 4 oz potato, 1 cup vegetables
3. 5 ounces lean meat, 1/2 cup cooked rice, 1 cup vegetables
4. 5 ounces lean meat, 4 oz. baked potato , 1 cup vegetables
5. 6 egg whites, 1 serving Cream of Rice 
Wednesday  - Thursday
Meals:
1. 6 egg whites, 4 servings grits
2. 5 oz lean meat (chicken, fish or turkey), 12 oz potato
3. 5 ounces lean meat, 1 1/2 cups cooked rice
4. 5 ounces lean meat, 12 oz. baked potato 
5. 6 egg whites, 2 servings Cream of Rice 
Friday - Saturday
Meals:
1. 6 egg whites, 2 serving of grits
2. 5 oz lean meat (chicken, fish or turkey), 8 oz potato
3. 5 ounces lean meat, 1 cup cooked rice
4. 5 ounces lean meat, 8 oz. baked potato 
5. 6 egg whites, 2 servings Cream of Rice
