This is not just another story about a couple of bodybuilders who overcame genetic flaws to become champions. Rather, it's a story about how good genetics, a personalized nutrition program, contest prep and posing advice, and quality Beverly International supplements can team up to produce dramatic results. It's a story about moving to the next level, about achieving an even higher degree of physical development and contest presentation. It's a story about the Beverly Experience!
I would like to introduce you to Bill Richardson and Lynn Roth, two of the most aesthetically gifted athletes ever to set foot in the Beverly International Nutrition Center. Both Bill and Lynn are personal trainers working together in the Detroit area.
Bill Richardson and Lynn Roth exemplify perfection in their contest preparation and presentation - all a part of the Beverly Experience
Bill started lifting weight in high school, a habit he continued while in the service. Fresh out of the service he met a personal trainer, Robb Rickman. Robb was impressed with Bill and encouraged him to enter his first competition in the early 90's. Through Robb, Bill had his first introduction to Beverly International.
Later when Bill was working for Robb, he handled a majority of the ordering of Beverly International supplements and regularly received issues of the No Nonsense Newsletter. He was impressed by the amazing transformations and real world success stories contained in each issue and how so many of the athletes featured achieved such great condition working with Beverly International. Over the years, Beverly's reputation for quality products and customer satisfaction became quite apparent to Bill.
Now Bill has his own personal training business and recently ran into Robb when he was getting ready for the IFBB North American Championships. Robb's physique and conditioning were incredible. Bill couldn't help being impressed, even blown away, by the muscle density and definition of this 50-year-old bodybuilder. After talking to Robb, Bill found out that not only did Robb still use Beverly International supplements, but he made regular visits to their nutritional center to get his personalized diet, a bodyfat check and counseling in many different aspects of bodybuilding nutrition and contest preparation.
After training two clients for recent competitions, Lynn decided she wanted to compete again. She encouraged Bill and soon he got the "itch." The idea of a professional monitoring their every bodybuilding move was very intriguing to Bill and Lynn. As they considered entering an up-coming contest they made their first appointment and their Beverly experience began with a long journey to Cold Spring, Kentucky to personally meet with Roger, Sandy and Steven at the Beverly International Nutrition Center.
Bill and Lynn made their initial visit to the center in January of 1999. Instead of just telling Bill and Lynn what to do, Roger, Sandy and Steven sat down with them and found out what they really wanted to do and how they could help them achieve their goals. Competition success was not a problem for Bill or Lynn and that was not their main reason for contacting Beverly International. Rather, after training competitors for recent contests they realized any athlete, no matter what their genetic potential, can greatly benefit from Beverly International's customized nutritional and supplementation programs. They also realized that their Beverly experience was to take them to the next level of bodybuilding achievement.
After the initial conversation during which an individual client profile was developed, the next step was to do bodyfat analysis, something Bill or Lynn had never done. Their stats: Bill 169 at 7.1%, and Lynn 116 at 16%, for first time visitors to the center these numbers where quite impressive. Considering their current condition, contest demands and lifetyle, drastic changes were not needed. Supplement refinement, better knowledge of the competitive cycle and an improved diet was just what the doctor ordered. With customized diets in hand, they grabbed some supplements, made another appointment and were back on the road to Michigan (and bodybuilding success.)
On the drive home Bill and Lynn couldn't stop talking about how impressed they were with Roger, Sandy and Steven. Their personal Beverly experience gave them that much more confidence with the entire Beverly International organization, products and personnel. Bill and Lynn were so impressed by the professionalism they were shown that they decided to put all their faith in the Beverly International experience and see what happened.
Bill and Lynn had been used to doing a tremendous amount of cardio in the past, but, not while using the Beverly International "no nonsense" approach. Bill did absolutely no cardio and Lynn's was minimal. Still, they got into the best shape of their lives. Bill said: "When you can control and decrease your bodyfat utilizing your diet and your supplement regime and not have to do any cardio . . . hey, that's a plus for me!"
With physiques as appealing as theirs, Bill and Lynn's posing had to be equally as attractive. And, like many who visit the center, with expert advice and plenty of practice, their posing turned from something awkward looking at their first visit to a flowing and fluent style of presentation by the time of their show.
Putting their complete faith in all aspects of the Beverly International experience made their confidence soar. This competition was going to be fun! With that in mind and one week out from the Gold Cup, Bill and Lynn made their final trip to the Beverly International Center. Bill's results: 161 at 4.5%, Lynn's results: 117 at 12%. An 8 lb. gain in muscle for Bill from his previous show and close to a 10 lb. gain in lean mass for Lynn. More importantly, this time around their genetics played only a small part in their success. This time, these two Michigan bodybuilders had the complete package - conditioning, posing and stage presence.
They ended up doing very well at the show, but what they took from this show was worth more than the trophies they received. The guidance they received in preparing for the show turned them into all-around, improved bodybuilders. They realized the value they received from Beverly International could be matched by no-one. They learned things about contest preparation that they had not even thought of doing.
How impressed are Bill and Lynn with their Beverly International experience? Well, recently they brought a dozen of their clients from Michigan to the center to experience all the positive things that happened to them.
Bill and Lynn wanted to add the following quote: (The people at) "Beverly International are truly concerned, and would never steer anyone in the wrong direction. If you want to do it right, contact the center, get your diet and listen to what they have to say. Take the diet and advice and follow it, it's as easy as that."
As I finish this article and look at Bill and Lynn, I see two bodybuilders that could do very well with no help at all, but still sought the advice of bodybuilding experts to be the best that they could possibly be. It made me realize that if Beverly International can improve the quality of these bodybuilders who came into the center in close to contest shape, then Beverly International can help out anyone.
