I’ve been competing for six years, have done quite well, but was never completely satisfied with my overall conditioning. (We’ve all heard that before).
The problem wasn’t with my upper body, but my legs were another story. There was a layer of body fat that wouldn’t budge no matter what I did. Every contest the judges told me the same story –
Your upper body’s fine but you need to work on your legs.
Showtime! I entered my first pro-level competition, the NGA Pro Universe, with renewed confidence. I was in my best condition ever, had better symmetry, more lean muscle than ever and yes – Legs! The Beverly supplements and nutrition plan worked wonders.
Then something totally unexpected happened. I stumbled on to a company called Beverly quite by accident while looking through some magazines a friend had brought back from the Arnold Classic. I picked up the Beverly Magazine, and read the success stories. I was hooked. The nutrition and supplement programs illustrated were detailed and the results incredible. I wanted to know more. My first pro-level show was just 12 weeks away. A major undertaking – and I had to be in my best condition ever - this time with legs! I completed a Beverly Client Profile, complete with photos and sent it with updates, including photos at 4-week intervals.

- Monday and Thursday I had – a cup of oatmeal, 6-oz sweet potato, 4-oz banana, and 1-cup vegetables in place of my 6th meal. I drank 2 gallons water daily
At six weeks out my diet was cut to five meals, adding Beverly BCAA’s, Muscle Mass to my supplement array.
To monitor progress, Sandy suggested I measure the body fat skinfold on my legs with calipers. My first quadriceps measurement was 18mm. (Remember, I’d already been dieting six weeks and had already seen major reductions in this area).
Ten days later, it was 3 mm less. Think of it! My legs were already the leanest they’d ever been and in just ten days I lost an additional 16% of my accumulated thigh fat!
Another ten days down to 12mm. I ended with a measurement on show day of 10.5 mm; a 60% spot reduction in just six weeks. Believe me! The Beverly plan really works. I did just three 30 – minute cardio sessions per week and let my diet and Beverly supplements do the rest.
